I love random national holidays. Heck, I love any reason to celebrate. When I saw that today was National Plan …
Having grown up in the Philadelphia area, you would think we’d take Navy to visit the city much earlier. Truthfully, we’ve been waiting for the perfect time to take Navy to visit the dog-friendly city of brotherly love. After spending the Thanksgiving holiday with our families in the suburbs, we drove an hour east to Philadelphia for a long weekend of fun!
Navy the California Corgi – That has a nice ring to it, right? Last week our family embarked on our biggest journey together to date, traveling to California! We were invited to attend a friend’s wedding in Santa Barbara over the long weekend, so we figured, why not bring Navy? We extended our trip a few days and made a little family vacation out of it!
So you decided to go on vacation. That is awesome and we are officially jealous! Should you bring your dog along with you? Now that is a tough question to answer. Being away from your dog is hard–believe me, I get it. But sometimes your pup may be more stressed by joining you on your vacation.
Is there anything better than the warm sandy beach, cool ocean water, clear blue sky, and your best friend by your side? Of course not. We decided to take Navy on her first ever trip to the beach. Both Mom and Dad spent their summers growing up at the beach, and unfortunately Navy was too young last summer to take her on a trip. Needless to say, we were all very excited for Navy to be able to experience a trip to the beach.
This off and on cold DC city weather has gotten really old like really fast. Mom and Dad love getting out of the city and exploring new areas for a long weekend (especially places where the weather is a little warmer than DC). Last month we decided to take our little family on a spontaneous trip south to Lynchburg and Roanoke, Virginia.
