Where Should We Travel After Quarantine? Post-Quarantine Bucket List | Dog Friendly

In case you didn’t realize, we are still in a pandemic.

We are counting down the days until we are able to travel again–aren’t you? It’s no secret that Zach and I (and the pups) are big into traveling. We love getting away and exploring new places. However, we do acknowledge that having the platform that we do, we shouldn’t be promoting travel during this time. Truthfully, one of the hardest things for us about this pandemic is not knowing when we will be able to plan our next trip.

Well, we have been looking ahead to 2021 for travel plans, but for the most part we are not planning any big trips this year. We did fly to Florida last month to attend a funeral. Really, after that experience we decided to not fly again for a while.

I’ll be honest, we are open to planning a few road trips. We have our annual family trip to the Outer Banks in September, but we’ve cancelled our trip back to Tokyo in October. We do have a flight booked to Singapore in February, but we are prepared to cancel if needed.

With that being said, I saw one of our friends on Instagram do a post like this, where they made a list of all the places they wanted to travel once restrictions were lifted. I figured that if I came up with a list of my own. Who knows, maybe we will plan a mini social distancing getaway!

  • Harpers Ferry, West Virginia
  • Portland and Acadia, Maine
  • Lake Norman, North Carolina
  • Charlottesville, Virginia
  • Adirondack Mountains, New York
  • Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania
  • Delaware State Beach, Delaware

If any of you have been to one of these places (with your dog) let us know! We would love to hear your tips for places to stay and things to do. We love hearing your recommendations.

Where do you want to travel when restrictions are lifted? I’m curious, what is first on your travel bucket list? Let us know in the comments below.
