In the age where viral challenges are taking over the internet by storm, we decided to try out the Vital Essentials “Better Wetter or Nicer Naked?” challenge (#TasteofVE). In short, this challenge allows your pet the option of choosing how they prefer their meals to be served: wet or naked.
Is there anything better than the warm sandy beach, cool ocean water, clear blue sky, and your best friend by your side? Of course not. We decided to take Navy on her first ever trip to the beach. Both Mom and Dad spent their summers growing up at the beach, and unfortunately Navy was too young last summer to take her on a trip. Needless to say, we were all very excited for Navy to be able to experience a trip to the beach.
We LOVE the Fourth of July in our house, and we take it pretty seriously. Mom, the baker, always goes all out for her Fourth of July dessert goodies. This year, we decided to try and make some patriotic treats for the dogs as well. Our family is vacationing in the Outer Banks for the holiday week and it is hot hot hot! We put together 3 easy patriotic frozen treats to help the dogs stay cool. Each of these patriotic pupsicles require only 3 ingredients.
A little over a year about we brought Navy home. Shortly after, she made her Instagram debut. Initially, we started her account for fun. Instagram was an easy outlet to share all of Navy’s puppy photos with our friends and family without flooding our personal accounts. We certainly did not think anything would come of us posting her photos online. Nevertheless, over 365 days of posting to Navy’s Instagram our audience grew to over 41,000 online friends!
We’ve collaborated with a local DC company, the Barking Muse, to bring you an honest review of their Moisturizing + Conditioning Pet Cleanser and *new* Nose + Paw Balm.
It’s officially puppy season! Early spring through late summer is one of the most popular times to bring a puppy home. Warmer months are certainly more ideal for starting to raise and train a young puppy. So you think you want a corgi? Might I ask why? Have you done your research on the breed? Have you read about the potential health risks? Did you know they are stubborn and tend to bark … a lot?
There is no doubt about it, Mom and Dad love wine. As a pup, Navy is not allowed to drink wine (or grape juice for that matter) but wineries are a great dog friendly option for adults and their furry friends. Northern Virginia is filled with excellent wineries. We racked and stacked and rated our top dog friendly wineries in Northern Virginia.
These days, you can get nearly anything in a monthly subscription box. From meal delivery services, beauty samples, clothing rentals, dog treats, etc., companies will deliver goods to your door monthly for a flat fee.
Parents go all out for their children’s’ first birthdays, why can’t dog parents do the same? For Navy’s first birthday, we decided to go all out. I mean, baby girl only turns 1 once, right? We really wanted her birthday to be special.
This off and on cold DC city weather has gotten really old like really fast. Mom and Dad love getting out of the city and exploring new areas for a long weekend (especially places where the weather is a little warmer than DC). Last month we decided to take our little family on a spontaneous trip south to Lynchburg and Roanoke, Virginia.
