13 Last Minute Costume Ideas for your Dog

If you are anything like us, you would have completely forgotten that Halloween is just a few days away and you have no costume for your dog. I mean, what is your pup going to wear to all the puppy Halloween parties??

Ever since bringing Navy home I’ve had great plans to create awesome, original, homemade costumes for her. Well, after the Oreo McFlurry debacle of 2017, I decided to keep things a bit simpler. Since then, we’ve chosen to purchase costumes for Navy and now for Duke. We generally look for costumes the pups won’t mind having on for too long. I mean, they obviously don’t like wearing costumes, but I want them to be comfortable!

Some of our favorite stores to stock up on adorable pet Halloween costumes are: Target, Amazon, Chewy.com, Petco, Michael’s, TJ Maxx, Marshalls, and HomeGoods. With a lot of these stores, their supplies get pretty picked over towards the end of the month. I’ve created a list of a few of my favorite costumes this season that are still in stock and all with 1-2 -2 day shipping. If you order tonight or tomorrow, you should get your costume in time for Halloween.

BOWTIE & CUFF SET

Is your pup fancy, or a male stripper? You be the judge.

PRISONER

Duke actually already has the prisoner costume and yes, it is adorable.

PIRATE

Truthfully, I just can’t get over how adorable the little hat is!

SLOTH DOG

Do they make this in human sizes?

DAPPER DOG

I think this pup could pass as our 16th president …

PRINCESS LEIA PUP

Navy would 10/10 poop on my pillow if I dressed her in this!

JEDI PUPPY

While on the Star Wars theme, look how adorable this Jedi robe costume is. I think Duke would totally rock it.

PIZZA DELIVERY DOG

It is my ultimate dream to have a cute pizza pup at my door.

PINATA PUPPY

I. CANT. EVEN.

HAPPY CLOWN

Because scary clowns are well, terrifying…

WONDER WOMAN

Grrrrrl power, am I right?

UNCLE SAM

In less than a year you can reuse this costume to show your Ameri-pup pride!

HOT DOG

You can’t go wrong with a classic hot dog and mustard, though I am more of a ketchup girl myself.

I can’t wait for our first Halloween in the new home. We have great plans to curl up, watch some scary movies, and order a pizza to share. Whether or not you choose to celebrate Halloween with your dog, stay safe out there! Doorbells are scary and those treats wrapped in plastic are not for pups.
